Abstract
Background: Many factors influence the decision of a graduate to pursue his postgraduate studies.
Method: A questionnaire was used to find out the career choice of the interns and the various practicing anaesthesiologists and their experience in this field.
Results: It is shown that radiology (21%) is the first choice of postgraduate study. Practicing anaesthesiologists cite enthusiasm or commitment (50%) as their top reason for joining anaesthesiology as a postgraduate.
